Glysantin® - The high-performance coolant for your vehicle
Glysantin® provides threefold protection for your radiator
Glysantin® is much more than just an antifreeze. The premium-grade coolant from BASF provides threefold protection from corrosion, overheating and frost. Glysantin® ensures that your cooling system works perfectly all year round. Our list of products shows which Glysantin® product is suitable for use in your vehicle. Products are available for all types of vehicle and all types of engine.
Protection from corrosion
If the wrong coolant is used, the high temperatures and large pressure drop in the cooling system and the presence of water create ideal conditions for corrosion. Glysantin® reliably prevents corrosion. It contains corrosion inhibitors that react with the metals in the cooling system and form a very thin but extremely hard-wearing passive layer on the surface. Glysantin protects all of the materials in the cooling system from damage, including components made from rubber and plastics.

Protection from overheating
Glysantin® is much more than just an antifreeze. As a premium-grade coolant, Glysantin® also protects your engine from damage in the summer. Monoethylene glycol, the main ingredient of Glysantin®, increases the boiling point of the cooling water and reliably prevents the engine from overheating.
The threefold protection provided by Glysantin® also protects against overheating by preventing scale from building up in the cooling system and blocking the cooling channels.

Protection from frost
The threefold protection provided by Glysantin® protects your vehicle in winter. The monoethylene glycol contained in Glysantin® depresses the freezing point of the cooling water and prevents it from freezing at sub-zero temperatures. Without a coolant present, the cooling water can freeze, expand and thereby damage the radiator or even cause the engine block to crack causing terminal damage.
